Friends of the Stomp:
Sorry for the delay in reporting the results of a great Stomp #4. Tremendous weather, outstanding new location, great crowd and one heck of a killer line-up.
Special thanks to our local hard working Blues bands: JD & The Mudhounds and Nathan Bryce & Loaded Dice, please get out and support our local musicians.
Wow is all I can say about our National acts – Jarekus Singleton and his band lit up the afternoon and set the stage on fire, we were lucky to catch this monster blues player on the way up. The legend Bryan Lee reminded us of where the blues began and gave us an outstanding set. Mr. Tommy Castro and The Painkillers – oh baby were they hot. He killed it with not only his long time favorites but several off his new release. Everybody in the house was up and dancing.
The festival is the fun part of what we do; we enjoy the music and the purpose and mission. Everyday our group is out to help make those less fortunate a little bit more comfortable either with meals, clothing, basic survival necessities or something as simple a smile. Our attendees, bands and sponsors become a big part of helping Stomp The Blues Out of Homelessness, Inc. work our little corner of the world.
Once again our festival grew by 35%-40% and I personally thank you and I want to ask each of you to take a look at our sponsors and know that they too believe in our mission and we need to support each of them.
May 16, 2015 @ Chesterfield Village should be on your calendars now! We will be announcing our line up in December or the first of 2015… You will be excited I promise.
The blues will set you free,
